Moroccan Charity Provides Food and Masks to Sub-Saharan Migrants Impacted by COVID-19

Sub-Saharan migrants affected by the COVID-19 health crisis in Casablanca and Rabat will receive, on Monday, May 11, 4,000 food kits and 40,000 masks from the National Solidarity Institute with Women (INSAF), a Moroccan association chaired by Meriem Othmani.
These donations follow an appeal launched by Ebeha Beyeth Gueck, president of the Solidarity Bank association, to help the refugees from sub-Saharan Africa affected by the health crisis. They are mostly housekeepers, call center employees, and day laborers working in the informal sector. They found themselves without a job overnight due to COVID-19.
The National Solidarity Institute with Women (INSAF) is offering 4,000 kits to these migrants in Casablanca and Rabat. Each kit contains protective masks, disinfectant products (bleach and soap), food products (rice, sugar, pasta, oil, salt, broths, etc.), awareness-raising flyers against COVID-19, with explanations in English and French on precautions and good practices to protect against COVID-19. INSAF is also donating 40,000 masks to them.
Mériem Othmani, president of INSAF, entrusted the distribution of the kits to the Solidarity Bank and Come-Back associations.
