Safi: chaos after Algerian supporters’ invasion
The pitch at Al Massira Al Khadra stadium in Safi witnessed serious incidents. The invasion of the field by Algerian supporters left several photographers injured and sparked intense tensions.
The disturbances began when supporters of the Algerian team brutally stormed onto the playing area. Photos show evidence of seats being thrown and a deliberate intent to defy the Moroccan public. This aggressive behavior caused physical harm to photographers present on site, while prompting some Olympic Safi fans to enter the pitch in turn in reaction to these provocations.

Faced with this chaotic situation, members of law enforcement positioned around the sports venue chose not to use force to intervene. The safety of the footballers and referees was therefore entirely ensured by private security personnel mobilized for the match.
