Ryanair remains in Tours: the line to Morocco saved for the summer of 2026

It was far from a foregone conclusion. After having suppressed 25 routes and ceased its operations in three regional airports (Bergerac, Brive and Strasbourg) to protest against the increase in the solidarity tax on airline tickets, the Irish company has finally spared the Tours platform. Bookings are now open for Marrakech, with two weekly flights scheduled until October 2026.

For Cyril Godeaux, director of the mixed union of Tours Val de Loire airport, it is a breath of fresh air, although caution remains: "It is a relief that these commercial flights continue," he says, hoping to save the bulk of the 2025 program. This decision comes in a gloomy context for the air transport sector in France, where the increase in taxation could lead to a potential loss of 1.3 million passengers.
