Ryanair Flight Diverted to Fez Due to Sandstorm Near Rabat

A Ryanair flight from Paris to Rabat was forced to change course and land at Fez Saiss airport on Friday evening due to strong gusts of wind and a sandstorm.
The aircraft, carrying about a hundred passengers, took off from Paris as planned but had to modify its itinerary when approaching Moroccan airspace following a storm reported by the pilot. According to passenger testimonies, this decision was made as a safety measure.
The plane eventually landed safely at Fez Saiss airport. The passengers were then transported to Rabat by several coaches chartered by the airline.
The General Directorate of Meteorology had issued a yellow alert the day before the flight, forecasting strong gusts of wind in several provinces in northern Morocco, including Fahs-Anjra, Tetouan, Tangier-Assilah, Chefchaouen and the Larache highlands.
