Intoxicated Passenger Disrupts Ryanair Flight from Madrid to Rabat

Completely drunk, a Moroccan residing abroad (MRE) caused serious disturbances on a Ryanair flight connecting Madrid and Rabat.
More fear than harm for the passengers of a Ryanair flight connecting Barajas airport in Madrid and Salé airport in Rabat on Friday, February 23. Half an hour after takeoff, a fifty-year-old foreign national of Moroccan origin asked the cabin crew to open the cockpit door to sit next to the captain and tell him her problems, which is prohibited for passengers for safety reasons, reports the newspaper Assahifa. The attempts of the flight attendants and stewards to convince her to return to her seat were in vain as the plane was going through turbulence and "all passengers were seated, seatbelts fastened". The insistence of the MRE pushed the captain to inform the passengers of the possibility of landing at Tangier airport. This potential landing was to allow the passenger’s case to be dealt with.
The captain’s warning did not dampen the woman’s ardor. The other passengers also tried to calm her down. In vain. She was speaking loudly about her problems in a chaotic way in French and English, bottle of wine in hand. She will end up bursting into tears. Calm finally returns. The plane was already approaching Moroccan airspace. Reported by the crew upon landing of the plane at Rabat-Salé airport, the drunk passenger was disembarked from the plane by the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie.
