Ryanair Expands Morocco Routes, Unveils Domestic Flight Prices for Summer 2024

The Irish airline Ryanair will operate 1,100 weekly flights on 175 routes as part of its record summer 2024 program to Morocco. It has also unveiled the prices of domestic flights.
The summer of 2024 will mark a turning point for Ryanair’s flight program to Morocco. The company will offer up to 1,100 flights per week on 175 routes, including 35 new routes, such as La Rochelle - Marrakech, Carcassonne - Tangier, reports Air Journal. The Irish low-cost carrier has also announced its 4th Moroccan base, with 2 new aircraft in Tangier (a $200 million investment). The number of its aircraft based in Morocco will reach 14: 7 in Marrakech, 3 in Fez, 2 in Agadir and 2 in Tangier. These aircraft will have to transport more than 5 million passengers to/from and within the Kingdom (33% growth).
Another announcement: the company will operate its first flights to the Moroccan airports of Beni Mellal and Errachidia. In Morocco, it serves a total of 12 airports. As of summer 2024, Ryanair will serve 11 new domestic routes starting at 330 dirhams one-way. The investment in Morocco "now exceeds $1.4 billion in aircraft - supporting over 500 well-paid direct jobs for pilots, cabin crew and engineers and thousands of supporting jobs in tourism, driving economic growth across 12 cities," including Rabat, Marrakech, Fez, Agadir, Tangier, Ouarzazate and Essaouira, Ryanair said.
