Ryanair Expands in Morocco: New Domestic Route and 10 Million Passenger Goal

The Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair is implementing its flight program aimed at doubling the number of its annual passengers in Morocco to reach more than 10 million passengers by 2027. It is preparing to launch a direct and regular domestic route.
Ryanair will launch a new direct and regular air route connecting Tetouan and Marrakech at the end of March 2024. A total of 4 monthly flights will be operated between the two cities. The low-cost airline sets the ticket price at 189 dirhams per flight, in order to offer an economical and comfortable option for travelers between the north and south of the kingdom.
The launch of this route is part of the company’s flight program aimed at doubling the number of its annual passengers in Morocco to reach more than 10 million passengers by 2027. From the summer of 2024, it will serve 24 international routes and 11 domestic routes in Morocco. In detail, this new program will include the opening of eleven new domestic routes connecting nine Moroccan destinations to Agadir, Errachidia, Essaouira, Fez, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Oujda, Tangier and Tetouan.
The Irish low-cost carrier also plans to dedicate two aircraft to the Ibn Battouta airport in Tangier. It will add a new base to this airport, in addition to its current bases in Fez, Marrakech and Agadir.
