Ryanair Launches Low-Cost Domestic Flights in Morocco, Challenging Competitors

The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair has officially launched its domestic flights in Morocco, with very attractive prices. The third airline to operate flights in the kingdom, it becomes a competitor of Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and Air Arabia Maroc.
On Sunday, Ryanair began operating its first domestic flights in Morocco. Departing from Marrakech at 5:30 a.m., the first flight, number FR6741, landed in Oujda at 6:30 a.m. The second flight, number FR6768, took off from the ochre city at 9:30 a.m. to land in Tetouan at 10:30 a.m. The company offers very attractive prices starting from 150 dirhams for a one-way ticket.
With the launch of domestic flights between the cities of Oujda and Tetouan to Marrakech, Ryanair becomes the third airline to operate flights in Morocco, after the Moroccan company RAM and the company Air Arabia Maroc. The Irish low-cost airline plans to open 11 domestic routes in Morocco connecting nine Moroccan destinations to Agadir, Errachidia, Essaouira, Fez, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Oujda, Tangier and Tetouan from this summer as part of the company’s flight program aimed at doubling its annual passengers in Morocco to reach more than 10 million passengers by 2027. It will include other destinations like Dakhla and Nador in its program in the coming seasons.
These flights will not only allow Morocco to further develop its domestic tourism, but they will also help reduce the isolation of certain cities like Ouarzazate, Essaouira, and Errachidia.
