Russell Crowe Returns to Morocco for ’Gladiator 2’ Filming

It’s official. Australian actor Russell Crowe will be returning to Morocco in the coming weeks for the filming of the second part of Gladiator.
And once again, it is the city of Ouarzazate, which saw the filming of the first opus, where Gladiator 2 will be partly shot by Ridley Scott.
The five-time Oscar-winning film (best actor, best film, best costumes, best sound and best visual effects) tells the story of Decimus Meridius, "commander-in-chief of the armies of the North, general of the Phoenix legions, faithful servant of the true emperor Marcus Aurelius. Father of a murdered son, husband of a murdered wife, and I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next."
It is not yet known how Ridley Scott will incorporate the main character since he dies at the end of the first part.
