Royal Moroccan Navy Rescues 247 Migrants Attempting Mediterranean Crossing

The Royal Moroccan Navy Coast Guard was able to rescue 247 migrants in the night of Friday, August 30 to Saturday, August 31. They were in makeshift inflatable boats.
More migrants rescued. In total, 247 candidates for illegal immigration benefited from the assistance of the Royal Navy guards, says a military source. Among them are women and children, mostly from sub-Saharan Africa, the same source specifies.
After receiving first aid on board the Royal Navy units, they were safely transported to the ports in the north of the Kingdom.
Passing through Morocco to reach Europe is preferred by many sub-Saharan Africans who are candidates for illegal immigration. Unfortunately, many victims are recorded each year.
