Moroccan Navy Rescues 242 African Migrants in Distress off Gibraltar Coast

The Royal Navy prevented the worst for illegal migrants. It rescued a total of 242 illegal migrants from sub-Saharan Africa.
The Royal Navy coast guards rescued 242 illegal migrants from sub-Saharan Africa. Among them were 50 women and 12 minors. They were all in distress, on board several inflatable boats, on the night of Thursday, July 25 to Friday, July 26, 2019, at the level of the Strait of Gibraltar, according to a military source.
Some of the survivors were in critical condition. They received the necessary care on board the units of the Royal Navy. According to the same source, they were then transported safely to the Mediterranean ports of the Kingdom for the usual administrative procedures.
