Royal Moroccan Navy Intercepts Drug Boat Near Tangier, One Killed in Shootout

Elements of the Royal Navy succeeded in thwarting a cannabis trafficking operation, by intercepting an inflatable boat off the city of Tangier, on Monday morning, January 27.
According to the Rue20 website, 4 individuals, on board a Zodiac, loaded with cannabis resin, and sailing near Cap Spartel, in the north of the country, refused to comply with the orders of the Royal Navy unit.
Several shots were fired, resulting in one death and two seriously injured. The fourth person will be arrested later.
The site adds that a large quantity of cannabis resin, destined for southern Spain, was seized by the security services.
