Royal Air Maroc Offers Free Ticket Changes Amid Morocco-Russia Flight Suspension

Following the suspension of direct flights between Morocco and Russia, the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has decided to grant a favor to its customers. They can change their tickets free of charge.
"To accompany all our passengers during this period, ticket changes will be authorized, free of charge and without fees, until December 15, 2021, to the same destination or another," the airline said in a tweet, specifying that the refund of tickets to Russia will be in the form of a credit or in cash at the original point of sale.
In a post on its Facebook page, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Morocco announced the suspension by the Moroccan authorities of direct flights between Morocco and Russia from October 5, 2021, until further notice. "Flights in transit through third countries are (however) not subject to these restrictions," it specified, inviting passengers of canceled direct flights to take this information into account.
The worrying health situation in Russia has prompted the Moroccan authorities to make this decision. A total of 929 deaths caused by Covid-19 were recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the latest daily report from the government. A new record for this country.
