Morocco Halts Direct Flights to Russia Amid COVID-19 Concerns

Morocco has decided to suspend air links with Russia starting this Tuesday, October 5, the Moroccan embassy in Russia announced.
"Direct flights between Morocco and Russia will be suspended from this Tuesday, October 5, until further notice," the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Morocco wrote in a Facebook post. "Flights in transit through third countries are (however) not subject to these restrictions," the Russian diplomat specified, inviting passengers of canceled direct flights to take this information into account.
The reason underlying the taking of this decision is the worrying health situation in this country. A total of 895 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.
Royal Air Maroc (RAM), S7 Airlines, as well as Aeroflot are the airlines affected by this decision.
