Royal Air Maroc Launches Special Flight Program for Moroccans Abroad

As announced a few days ago, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) began its special flight program on Wednesday. The first flight was launched from Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.

On board this inaugural flight were MREs, foreigners residing in Morocco, Moroccan students enrolled in foreign universities and many other citizens traveling for health reasons. According to the Director of Ground Operations at RAM, Abdelaziz Rayes, "the air bridge launched by the national company and which will connect Morocco to several countries, aims to allow members of the Moroccan community established abroad to return home for the annual holidays."

In total, "25 round-trip flights have been scheduled so far," said the director of Mohammed V airport. Abdelhak Mazoura explained that for health safety reasons, the airport "initiated early a series of preventive measures against the coronavirus, which are in line with those recommended by the Ministry of Health and the International Civil Aviation Organization."

Wearing a mask is mandatory on all flights and only handbags and bags for children and laptops are allowed on board as cabin baggage. It should also be noted that all health safety measures are strictly respected during the boarding operation, specifies RAM.
