Royal Air Maroc to Launch Direct Flights Between Casablanca and Abuja

The national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is preparing to launch a new air route between Casablanca and Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

An important announcement was made during a meeting with representatives of major travel agencies in Nigeria and institutional and commercial partners in Abuja. Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced the launch of the direct line connecting Casablanca to the Nigerian capital, scheduled for June 23. The national airline will operate flights between the two capitals every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, or three frequencies per week, it was specified. "We are gathered to celebrate together a major event that will mark the relations between Morocco and Nigeria and give them new momentum," said the Moroccan ambassador to Nigeria.

For Moha Ou Ali Tagma, June 23 will be a great day. "It will represent an important achievement of the efforts to bring Morocco and Nigeria closer together, making Abuja a city very close and just a few hours from Casablanca," he added, noting that slowly but surely, the two countries, under the enlightened leadership of King Mohammed VI and Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, "are building a strategic partnership." And he continued: "The gas pipeline project that will connect Nigeria to Morocco and Europe, the fertilizer manufacturing plants and the OCP project in Akwa Ibom State for fertilizer production are evidence of this desire to build this partnership between the two countries."

The representative of the national airline declared that "this new connection between the heart of Nigeria, Abuja, and the vibrant metropolis of Casablanca, is not simply a flight path, but above all an important step in the journey of Royal Air Maroc, strengthening its commitment in Africa for better connectivity." And he continued: "For travelers seeking business, cultural exchanges or tourist experiences, RAM is proud to offer a convenient and reliable connection to Morocco and beyond."
