Royal Air Maroc Expands Global Reach: 4 New Routes Connect Africa and Europe

The Moroccan airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is launching four new direct routes to African and European destinations from its Casablanca hub.

Starting in September, Royal Air Maroc will serve Munich (Germany), N’Djamena (Chad), Sal Island (Cape Verde) and Zurich (Switzerland), the company announced in a press release. The launch of these new destinations reflects RAM’s desire to meet the expectations of its domestic and international customers, including Moroccans in the diaspora, and to consolidate its position as a regional leader.

In detail, the Moroccan airline will launch the direct Casablanca-Zurich route on September 17, 2025, with two weekly rotations on Wednesdays and Sundays. The departure flight from Mohammed V Airport is scheduled for 8:00 am (local time) for a landing in Zurich at 12:10 pm (local time). The return flight is scheduled for 1:10 pm (local time) for an arrival in Casablanca at 3:25 pm (local time). The connection to N’Djamena will be launched on the same date, with two frequencies per week (Wednesday and Saturday). The flight from Casablanca is scheduled for 11:10 pm (local time) for an arrival in N’Djamena at 4:35 am (D+1) and the return flight, from 5:35 am (local time) for an arrival in Casablanca at 10:55 am (local time).

As for the route to Sal Island, it will be inaugurated on September 18 with two frequencies per week (Thursday and Sunday). The flight will leave Casablanca at 11:00 pm (local time) to reach Amílcar Cabral International Airport at 12:45 am (D+1). The return flight is scheduled for Friday and Monday at 1:45 am (local time) for an arrival in Casablanca at 7:05 am (local time). RAM will launch the direct Casablanca-Munich route on October 20, 2025, with two weekly rotations on Mondays and Fridays. The departure flight will leave Casablanca at 1:30 pm for an arrival in Munich at 6:00 pm (local time). The return is scheduled for 7:00 pm (local time) for an arrival in Casablanca at 9:35 pm (local time).
