Royal Air Maroc Launches Direct Flights Between Casablanca and Catania, Sicily

As part of the expansion of its network in Italy, the Moroccan airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) will launch a new direct air route connecting Casablanca to Catania in Sicily.
"Starting from June 28, the direct Casablanca-Catania route will operate with two frequencies per week (Monday and Saturday). Flights will be scheduled to depart from Casablanca at 3:20 PM (local time) arriving in Catania at 7:40 PM (local time). Return flights will leave Catania at 8:40 PM (local time) landing in Casablanca at 11:35 PM (local time)," RAM specifies in a press release. Flights will be operated by a Boeing 737 and are available for purchase on Royal Air Maroc’s website, via its call centers, as well as in its commercial agencies and through the travel agency network.
This will be RAM’s seventh direct route to Italy. The airline currently serves the cities of Milan, Rome, Bologna, Turin, Venice, and Naples from Casablanca. "The launch of the Casablanca-Catania route marks a key step in our development strategy and our desire to strengthen our presence in Italy, particularly in the south of the country. This new service meets the expectations of our fellow citizens residing in Sicily and offers unprecedented opportunities for African and Italian travelers," said Hamid Addou, CEO of Royal Air Maroc.
He added: "In addition to strengthening tourist flows between Italy and Morocco, this new route will meet the growing expectations of travelers in terms of connectivity, while offering an increasingly qualitative onboard experience, in line with our objectives of continuous improvement of the customer experience." And he concluded: "Finally, the Casablanca-Catania route is part of a set of new routes that will be launched in the short term, to facilitate travel for Moroccans around the world, mainly to Casablanca and various airports in the North of the Kingdom."
