Royal Air Maroc Boosts Summer Flights for Moroccan Diaspora, Offering 2.5 Million Seats

Saturday 12 June 2021, by Armel

After relaunching its flight program and unveiling its new destinations for the summer of 2021, the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is offering an offer of nearly 2.5 million seats for the period from June 15 to September 15, 2021.

Despite the limitations of traffic due to health restrictions, RAM has undertaken to support Moroccans living abroad (MREs) and its customers during the summer period, says a press release from the company.

To this end, RAM has put in place a significant system to support the resumption of flights in order to facilitate their return to their families. It plans to serve more than 75 destinations by prioritizing the strengthening of the offer on its domestic network, the management specifies.

Thus, many routes will be relaunched between Morocco and the five main countries where Moroccans in the world are concentrated (France, Italy, Spain, Belgium and the United Kingdom). Long-haul flights will gradually resume on a large part of the network, both for passenger transport and for the cargo activity, which is particularly dynamic, it adds.

The same source announces that the direct Paris-Dakhla line will be launched from June 18. Thanks to this new air route, RAM will connect, for the first time, the European continent (with the exception of the Canary Islands) to the city of Dakhla, in less than 04H30 of flight.

"Royal Air Maroc has always accompanied Moroccan tourism. In these times of crisis, it is necessary to work together for the relaunch of this strategic sector for our country. This new direct line will allow international visitors to benefit from the city of Dakhla and the Moroccan experience from boarding in Paris," said Hamid Addou, CEO of RAM, quoted in the document.
