Royal Air Maroc Launches Direct Flights Between Paris and Dakhla, Morocco

The airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) launched a new Dakhla-Paris connection on Friday, June 18, with a frequency of two flights per week.
"The first RAM flight left Paris-Orly on Friday at 9:25 am (local time). It should land at 2:25 pm at the VIL airport in Dakhla," the airline said in a statement, adding that the flight is the first international airline connecting Dakhla to a European metropolis (except for the Dakhla-Las Palmas de Gran Canaria line).
"About 80 passengers boarded the company’s Boeing 737-800 for this inaugural flight of less than 4.5 hours," Royal Air Maroc said, noting that one to two frequencies per week will be launched initially, on Tuesdays and Fridays, for a gradual increase in programming according to demand.
"This new tourist route was initiated in close collaboration with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT). It will help strengthen the strategic economic positioning of the Dakhla Oued Eddahab region, while contributing to accelerating the recovery of the tourism sector in a destination that is experiencing remarkable growth," the company concluded.
