Romania Offers 5,000 University Spots to Moroccan Students Displaced from Ukraine

Romania has decided to support Moroccan students from Ukraine who have fled the country due to the war triggered by Russia. In this regard, a cooperation agreement has been concluded between Sorin Cîmpeanu, Romanian Minister of Education, and his Moroccan counterpart Abdellatif Miraoui.
Offer available places in Romanian universities to 5,000 Moroccan students who were studying in higher education institutions in Ukraine. This is the aid that Romania intends to provide to these students who were forced to leave Ukraine due to the war raging there. Sorin Cîmpeanu, Minister of Education, thus met his Moroccan counterpart, Abdellatif Miraoui, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, reports PS News.
During this meeting, a cooperation agreement between the two ministries was signed. This agreement aims to promote inter-university cooperation, the mobility of students, professors and researchers from universities, to support the teaching of the language and culture of the two countries and to organize joint meetings, activities and conferences. On the sidelines of this meeting, a hybrid format meeting was also organized with rectors and representatives of universities that have faculties of medicine and pharmacy, during which the need for an information campaign for Moroccan refugee students from Ukraine on the available places for years of study and specialization, the criteria for academic mobility, the procedures for filing applications and the timetable for this process, was emphasized.
