Roger Milla Apologizes for Controversial Comments on Morocco and Egypt

Following his controversial remarks about Morocco and Egypt, former Cameroonian international Roger Milla said he regretted his words, apologizing to the Maghreb countries.
The legend of African football returned to his statements on Radio Mars, stating that he did not think his remarks would take on such proportions.
"The Moroccan women and men are my sisters and brothers. We must not forget that I am still in Morocco. I did not think there would be a controversy and I did not want there to be one. I simply said that we are all African countries and if a country organizes an AFCON, Morocco should support it. That’s all. I want to apologize if people misunderstood, but in no way can I criticize an African country," he said.
