Rising Star Kays Ruiz Atil Weighs International Options as Barcelona Career Blossoms

For now, he will be content with his training and his evolution within Barça in order to put into practice everything he has learned within the club’s training center (La Masia).

At Barça, Kays Ruiz Atil is the teammate of two players, also of Moroccan origin: Ilias Akhomach and Abdessamad Ezzalzouli. He stressed that he is in agreement with these two players whose talent amazes day by day. "I know Akhomach very well. We’ve been together for a long time. I know him well, he has great potential, he’s technically magnificent, he’s a special winger, everyone has seen his last goal. As for Abdessamad, he has seized the opportunity he deserves with the first team and has shown his impressive skills, a bright future awaits him," he comments.

With the Catalan club, the player has great ambitions. "We can say that I am really proud to be here and I do everything to be a starter first in the B team and then why not have a place in the first team." He also rejected the rumors circulated by the media and according to which Kays Ruiz Atil would no longer be in the good graces of Barça B coach Sergi Barjuan. "If it were true, the coach would not have included me in the mini-clasico as a starter. Above all, Sergio Berjuan was a great player, now he is my coach and I respect him," he said without going into details.

In addition to Barça, Kays Ruiz Atil plays for the French U20 national team. When asked if he has already chosen his sporting nationality, he answers no. "In fact, I haven’t made my choice, but we can say that only the days can determine my future and with which national team I could be. I have three choices (Morocco, France and Spain) that oblige me to have a reflection time and not to rush."
