Rising Star Chemsdine Talbi Opts to Represent Morocco Over Belgium

Courted by Belgium and Morocco, the Belgian-Moroccan winger of Club Bruges, Chemsdine Talbi, has made his choice: he has finally chosen Morocco as his sporting nationality.
Chemsdine Talbi prefers Morocco to Belgium. "Talbi has already requested his change of sporting nationality since... September. A decision accepted by FIFA!" believes Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, in a post on X. According to him, the Belgian-Moroccan winger "is in Walid Regragui’s pre-selection for the month of March and is awaiting confirmation of a final selection for the upcoming match." The coach of the Atlas Lions should soon unveil the list of players who will be called up for the last training camp before the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN Morocco 2025).
Talbi, who has defended the colors of the Belgian national teams in the under-15, 17 and 19 categories, has thus turned his back on Belgium. Would the Belgian Federation try to make him change his mind? "If the URBSFA wants to pull off a last-minute coup, they will have to use a battery of lawyers to overturn the decision accepted by FIFA. Whatever happens, it would take time, and Talbi would therefore not be able to play either in the March or June gatherings," Sacha Tavolieri specified.
