Morocco’s Talbi Faces Fitness Test Ahead of Tanzania World Cup Qualifier

Chemsdine Talbi, midfielder for Club Bruges and a new arrival in the Moroccan national team, sees his participation in the match against Tanzania, this Tuesday, called into question. This match is part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Absent during the match against Niger due to an injury sustained with his club before joining the national team, Talbi is following a treatment protocol. His recovery is considered positive, which suggests a possibility of participation. The first with the Atlas Lions.
However, the player had to undergo thorough medical examinations. These exams were decisive as to his ability to play against Tanzania. Talbi, who recently chose to represent Morocco rather than Belgium, hopes to make his debut with the Atlas Lions in this important match.
The situation of Oussama Sahraoui (LOSC) is different. Injured, the player is, in all likelihood, less likely to recover in time to participate in this international break. This is what Walid Regragui, the Moroccan coach, indicated after the match against Niger.
Morocco currently occupies the first place in its group with 12 points, ahead of Niger (6 points). The match against Tanzania, which will be played at the Oujda stadium, represents a significant stake in the race for qualification.
