Rising Star Anouar Ait El Hadj Weighs National Team Options: Belgium or Morocco?

The Belgian-Moroccan Anouar Ait El Hadj, 19, is still undecided on the national colors he will display in his career. Morocco or Belgium, he promises to decide very quickly.
Coach Vahid Halilhodzic will have to wait to see Anouar Ait El Hadj in his group to prepare for the 2022 World Cup, writes the daily Al Akhbar.
The Anderlecht full-back reportedly said he had not decided which national team to play for and that he would take his time before making a final decision.
In a dilemma, he reveals having had several discussions with the coach of the Red Devils who has traveled several times to the training center to try to convince him to play for Belgium.
In this regard, Ait El Hadj has been called up by the Royal Belgian Football Federation (RBFA) to play his first match with the Espoirs this Friday in Kazakhstan for the Euro 2023.
"I have indeed been contacted by Morocco, but for now I am giving priority to Belgium and my club Anderlecht. We’ll see what the future holds," he said.
