The artist singer, Marcel Botbol, died in Paris from the effects of COVID-19, at the age of 75.
Marcel Botbol had contracted the virus and was admitted to intensive care in a Paris hospital. He passed away yesterday Wednesday, around 11 a.m., informs Le360.
Marcel Botbol was a talented performer of the popular standards of the rich Judeo-Moroccan musical heritage.
Born in Fez, his works are drawn from the repertoire of Gharnati music, passed down from generation to generation by the heirs of Moroccan Andalusian culture. The kingdom mourns the passing of a talented artist.
