Moroccan Jewish Music Icon Marcel Botbol Alive Despite Death Reports

The famous Moroccan artist, Marcel Botbol, whose death was announced this Wednesday, March 25 in Paris, is very much alive.
After the announcement of the star’s death by some local media, his relatives have provided a formal denial. According to the artist’s family, Marcel Botbol, 75, who is still in Paris, is indeed alive and well.
Native of the city of Fez, Marcel Botbol comes from a very well-known Jewish artist family in Morocco. He is the son of the artist Jacob Botbol and the brother of the singer Haïm Botbol.
In addition to singing and music, Marcel Botbol also has a cinematographic experience. He had acted in the film "L’orchestre de minuit" by Jérôme Olivier Cohen, which tells his own biography. Marcel is also famous for his high-quality interpretations, particularly of the Gharnati and popular Moroccan repertoires.
