Moroccan King Sends Condolences for Renowned Jewish-Moroccan Artist Marcel Botbol

A message of condolences and compassion from King Mohammed VI was addressed to the family of artist Marcel Botbol, who died on Wednesday morning in Paris.
Through this message, the Moroccan sovereign addressed the family of artists and the Moroccan Jewish community, his sincere and heartfelt condolences and expressed his compassion. This is following the death of a talented and pioneering artist, who through his work, contributed to enriching the Moroccan artistic repertoire. His works have always been inspired by the Judeo-Moroccan heritage.
The king, in his message, implored the Almighty to grant his biological and artistic family the necessary patience and comfort to bear this loss.
King Mohammed VI says he shares the pain of the deceased’s family. He remembers with great admiration the patriotism shown by the deceased and above all, his attachment to the glorious Alaouite Throne. This is why he asks the Almighty to have mercy on the deceased, and this because of his many loyal services rendered to the Moroccan nation, the message specifies.
