Moroccan Expat Dies from COVID-19 in Agadir; 30 Contacts Quarantined

A Moroccan residing in France died on Saturday, April 4, at the Hassan II Hospital in Agadir, as a result of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths in the region to 4.
Originally from a village near Ait Baha, the deceased, whose identity and age are unknown, suffered from acute respiratory problems before being confirmed positive for COVID-19.
The Moroccan expatriate had been in contact with about thirty people who have all been placed in home quarantine for more than a week.
According to the press release from the Ministry of Health, the kingdom recorded 990 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of the evening of Sunday, April 5, including 69 deaths and 71 recoveries.
