Renault Dominates Moroccan Auto Industry: 400,000 Cars Made, 90% Exported

According to the group’s CEO Mark Nassif, Renault confirmed its leadership last year with the production of 402,150 vehicles (318,600 units in Tangier and 83,550 in Casablanca) and exported 90% of its production to 74 countries.

The French group also dominates the Moroccan market with 75,418 vehicles sold, representing a market share of 42.5%. In detail, Dacia sold 49,649 cars last year, taking first place in Morocco with a 28% market share, and Renault delivered 25,769 cars for a market share of 14.5%, placing it in second place in the country.

Moreover, six models of the group sweep the top six sales positions:

• Dacia Logan: 13,280 sales;
• Renault Clio: 12,470 deliveries;
• Dacia Dokker: 12,434 sales;
• Sandero: 11,918 sales;
• Duster: 8,106 sales;
• Renault Kangoo: 5,544 sales.
