Religious Names Gain Popularity Among Parisian Newborns in 2020

While Gabriel takes the lead in the most popular names for little boys in Paris this year, Adam, Mohamed and Issac, three prophets’ names mentioned in the Quran, are also in the top 10 of the ranking.

These names were made public by the Paris City Hall and take precedence over some classic names in the French capital.

On the girls’ side, traditional names like Louise, Jeanne and Alice are well positioned in the top 10. However, Anna, the name of the prophet’s wife, is in 7th place.
