New Refrigerated Container Shipping Route Launched Between Morocco’s Agadir Port and France

Exporters in the Souss-Massa region can rejoice. A new shipping line now connects the port of Agadir to Port-Vendres in France. The good news was announced by the National Ports Agency.
According to Aujourd’hui Le Maroc which reports the information, it is a new maritime link dedicated to refrigerated containers.
"This new shipping line is the result of several preparatory and coordination meetings between the various partners, both at the local and central level of the Shipowner CMA CGM, who aims to convert the TIR traffic (using the Tanger Med port platform) into refrigerated containers using the port infrastructure of Agadir," specifies the ANP. And to add that the line will be operated at a rate of one call per week, between the port of Agadir and Port-Vendres (France).
The news of the existence of this shipping line delights the exporters of the Sous-Massa region. The latter used the services of road transport which offered a flexible and proximity service. The advent of this new shipping line is therefore a real alternative to the TIR.
It is up to the company CMA CGM to charter two container ships to ensure this maritime link which will be dedicated mainly to the export of prized containerized products.
