Reality Show "The Power" Returns for Second Season Set in Marrakech

After the success and record audiences of the first season, "The Power" is back on W9. This new edition filmed in Marrakech will be broadcast from Monday, April 7 at 7:50 pm, reports Puremédias. Fans of the reality TV show will be able to rediscover Delta, the off-screen voice that gives the instructions. Season 2 of "The Power" will be broadcast from Monday to Friday at the same time, in the form of a daily series with a new episode each day. The producers Studios 89 and Dreamspark have made a new-look cast to raise the level of the competition.

Among the fourteen selected candidates, we find several stars of reality TV shows on the channel, including Manon Tanti ("Les Marseillais"), Mélanie Dedigama ("Les Cinquante"), Vivian Grimaldi ("Secret Story"), Giovanni Prat ("Les apprentis champions") or even Vincent Queijo ("Le cerveau"). We also note the return of Sarah Fraisou ("Les princes de l’amour"), Jessica Errero ("Les Cinquante"), and the unforgettable Shaune Sand ("Hollywood Girls"). "This year, the power becomes more formidable," the channel says in a press release.

The principle of the game? "As during the previous season, a ’Power Player’ will be designated each week among the competitors, giving him all the rights: he will be able to control everything, impose his decisions and especially eliminate opponents. But Delta has decided to spice up the game by adding even more ruthless mechanisms. From now on, the master of the game will be able to target two players instead of one and put them on the hot seat," details W9.

And to continue: "But it will now be possible to completely overturn the established order since the counter-power game will allow the winner to rebel against the ’Power Player’s’ strategy and threaten his reign. One of these cards will be called ’the secret ally’ with the appearance of the formidable Maïssane, who will have an influence on the fate reserved for the king of the villa. Finally, the ’Circle of Power’ will be crucial for the outcome of the game. This is where the candidates will compete in challenges to win a clue or a counter-power, and thus shake up the strategies".
