An American star disfigured during filming in Marrakech reappears

Brandi Glanville regains her face. On Monday, she showed the improvement in her skin during an outing with her friend Tori Spelling. A photo shows the 52-year-old star radiant in the company of her friend. Her face is now recognizable.

In January, Glanville claimed to have been the victim of a parasitic infection after filming the reality show in Marrakech. And she was unrecognizable. "Six months after returning from [filming in] Morocco, I started having this swelling problem, it started in July and we’re still here trying to figure it out," Brandi Glanville had confided to Brice Sander of Entertainment Tonight (ET). She had participated in the filming of season 4 of the reality TV series "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip" in Marrakech in 2023. The cause of this health problem was food she would have consumed in Morocco. "We ate fruits and meat that had been left outside for a long time," she had recounted.

Last year, Glanville consulted several specialists, took antibiotics for several weeks and other medications. She says she spent more than $70,000 to treat herself, but she continues to suffer. In December, the former model shared an image of her swollen face over the summer on X. "What happened?," she questioned. "I wish I had known that I had been hospitalized several times over the past year and that I had spent almost all my money trying to figure it out. [...] Some doctors say I have a parasite that jumps around my face. Others say it’s edema due to stress. [...]"

This parasite prevented her from working for more than a year and a half. Today, she appears, her smile restored.
