Real Madrid’s Benzema Awaits Injury Test Results Ahead of Club World Cup

The French striker of Real Madrid, Karim Benzema, injured in the thigh on Thursday during the match against Valencia (2-0) at the Santiago Bernabéu, will undergo tests on Saturday that will determine his participation or not in the Club World Cup taking place currently in Morocco.
The tests scheduled for Saturday will allow to evaluate the player’s injuries and decide whether he can take part in the Club World Cup in Morocco, sources from Real Madrid told EFE. The French international was injured in the 60th minute of the match against Valencia and was immediately taken to the locker room.
During the post-match press conference, Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti said it was a "slight discomfort", recalls Sport.es. The player and the coach will all be informed about the extent of the injuries on Saturday after the tests. Real Madrid face Mallorca this Sunday at 2pm. It remains to be seen whether Benzema will be declared fit to play this match.
