Raja Casablanca Aims for 9th African Title in CAF Cup Final Against Jeunesse Kabylie

In search of a 9th African title, Raja of Casablanca, the most capped Moroccan team on the continental level, faces the Algerians of Jeunesse Kabylie in the final of the CAF Cup this Saturday in Cotonou. Concentration and motivation are on the agenda, players and technical staff are ready to achieve the feat.
It’s the big night, the greens will try to win their first title of the year in a competition they master, at the Stade de l’Amitié in Cotonou. After winning the CAF Cup in 2003 and 2008, the African Club Cup in 1989, the African Champions League in 1992 and 1999, the African Super Cup in 2000 and 2019, as well as the Afro-Asian Cup in 1998, the legendary Moroccan club is in Cotonou to bring back the 2021 CAF Cup trophy.
"We have prepared our match, we are here to win. It’s good that the final is 50-50, but we will do everything to win our match. Raja has won a lot of matches. They have won the Champions League three times, they have won the CAF Cup twice, so the players have a lot of experience. Tomorrow it’s a derby match and we will do everything to try to win our match," said the coach, quoted by africafoot.
The history of the confrontations gives the advantage to the Moroccans, since the two teams have faced each other four times in the Champions League, Raja has won two matches, against one victory for the Kabyles and a draw in Algeria. This final will therefore be an opportunity to recreate the path taken in 1989, and the triumph in the African Champions Cup.
This match can be followed live at 8pm (Moroccan time) on the beIN Sports HD4 and beIN Sports 1 HD Premium channels, the Qatari group being the holder of the TV rights for CAF competitions in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.
