Rabat Residents Urged to Participate in World Car-Free Day on September 22

As part of the celebration of World Car-Free Day scheduled for September 22, the Association "Youth of the 21st Century" which is preparing the 3rd edition of the event at the local level, has called on the residents of the capital not to take their cars.
The officials of the "Youth of the 21st Century" Association hope that this initiative will find a favorable echo among the residents of the capital. Indeed, on September 22, internationally, World Car-Free Day will be marked by several actions aimed at fighting pollution.
To this end, the residents of Rabat are called upon to set aside their vehicles from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and to use public transportation and bicycles, specifies HuffPost. For this action, almost all motor vehicles are concerned, apart from electric cars, bicycles and emergency vehicles (ambulances, firefighters, ...)
Among the objectives, this annual event observed in several major capitals of the world, in addition to the environmental aspect, aims to fight against noise pollution related to traffic flow and to improve the quality of life in the city, indicates the same source.
