Rabat Public Transport to Resume in July as Alsa-City Bus Reaches Agreement

The delegate minister in charge of relations with Parliament and civil society, Mustapha El Khalfi, announced the restart of Alsa-City Bus activities from July, for the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region.
For the delegate minister in charge of relations with Parliament and civil society, it is just a matter of days now. Mustapha El Khalfi was responding to a motion of interpellation on "the strike of public transport personnel in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region". In response to this motion presented by the Haraki group in the House of Representatives, Mustapha El Khalfi reported on the concrete proposals made by Alsa-City Bus to the staff, including the increase in voluntary departure allowances.
Indeed, recalls Le Matin, on April 4, a communication day was held with the staff, in the presence of the president of the intercommunal cooperation establishment "Al Assima" and the presidents of the municipalities of Rabat, Ain Atiq and Temara, as well as the president of the supervisory board "Stareo". According to El Khalfi, this was a meeting that included "a presentation on the management of the next phase, particularly for the conductors who have not yet benefited from voluntary departure".
The delegate minister in charge of Relations with Parliament and civil society also emphasized the company’s proposal of criteria that could allow the obtaining of the bonus dedicated to the staff in charge of certain missions, as well as a training program for the drivers, which was rejected by the latter, according to Le Matin.
