Rabat High School Shuttered for 15 Days After COVID-19 Delta Variant Outbreak

The Abi Dar Al Ghafari high school, located in Rabat, was closed on Tuesday by the city authorities, due to the detection of a Covid-19 outbreak, including the Delta variant.
In total, at least 8 students have contracted Covid in this high school where analyzes are underway to determine the severity of the situation. The school will be closed for 15 days.
To recall, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced on Tuesday the detection of 27 new confirmed cases of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 28.
In a press release, the ministry also reported 46 suspected cases of the new variant, specifying that 13 confirmed cases have been recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 11 in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region and 4 in Fès-Meknès.
