Higher Education Shifts to Remote Exams as Omicron Cases Rise in France

The Ministry of Higher Education has announced the imposition of distance learning for exams due to the spread of Covid-19, particularly the Omicron variant.
A note will be sent to the various heads of higher education institutions to this effect, the ministry’s press release said.
In addition to the exams, all meetings, conferences, conferences and events must now be held remotely, the note added, stating that the decision will take effect immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.
It should be recalled that since December 15, 2021, the date of the detection of the first Omicron case on national territory, 27 other new cases have been recorded, bringing the total number of contaminations with the new strain to 28, according to official figures.
