Qatar Introduces New Travel Restrictions: Morocco Among Countries on Yellow List

Qatar has classified countries like Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Turkey in the yellow list, and other countries in the green and red lists. This classification is part of the easing of travel and return restrictions in this country. The system will come into effect from July 12.

Qatar has adopted new travel restrictions in these times of global health crisis. From July 12, 2021, travelers from Morocco, Algeria, Egypt or other countries classified in the yellow list who have not received the two doses of the vaccine or whose vaccine is not recognized by the authorities of the country will be subject to 7 days of isolation in a hotel and must undergo a PCR test on the sixth day, which must be negative. They will have to pay all the costs related to these restrictions. The same restrictions apply to people who have not respected the 14-day vaccine administration period.

Travelers from "green list" countries such as Italy, Australia, Ethiopia, France, Germany, China have little to worry about. They will observe a five-day quarantine and undergo a repeated RT-PCR test on the fourth day of their isolation. If the test is negative, these travelers will be free to move around, only five days after their arrival.

As for travelers from the red list countries such as Libya, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Venezuela, they must undergo a 10-day quarantine in a hotel and an RT-PCR test on the 9th day of their isolation. If the test is negative, these travelers will be free to move around, on the tenth day after their arrival.
