Morocco Updates Travel Rules: New Entry Requirements for Vaccinated Visitors

Morocco has updated the A and B lists it has established as part of the reopening of its airspace. Russia, Egypt and Tunisia, which were on list A, are now on list B. The new conditions for accessing Moroccan territory will come into effect from Tuesday, July 6 at midnight.

No more 10-day quarantine for Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) and other vaccinated travelers from a country on list B. However, they must present a negative PCR test taken 48 hours before entering Moroccan territory.

In a press release, the Interministerial Committee for Monitoring Covid announces that no country has been added to list A, and that three new countries have been added to list B, namely Egypt, Russia and Tunisia. Travelers from a country on list A must present negative PCR tests dated less than 72 hours instead of 48 hours. As for the other conditions related to list A, they are still valid.

As for travelers from list B, they must present a negative PCR test dated less than 48 hours. These travelers are classified into two categories. On the one hand, there are holders of a certificate attesting that the person is vaccinated with one of the vaccines accepted in Morocco. These are exempt from quarantine. On the other hand, there are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated persons. They must undergo a controlled 10-day quarantine, at their own expense, in the facilities previously designated by the Moroccan authorities, with a control PCR test on the 9th day.
