Qatar’s Former Emir Recuperates in Marrakech as Son Visits

The father of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Ahmed, accompanied by his wife, Sheikha Mozah, has chosen the city of Marrakech to rest.
Weakened by illness, the former Emir of Qatar, who wore orthopedic boots and leaned on a cane to walk, was apparently in a convalescence period in the ochre city.
Upon his arrival at the Menara airport last Friday, Prince Tamim bin Ahmed visited his parents at their residence in the Palmeraie neighborhood of Marrakech.
The arrival of the prince, which, according to the Goud website, was not official, caused a state of general alert at the airport and the arteries leading to the Palmeraie.
