Qatar Denies Entry to Moroccan Fans Without World Cup Match Tickets, Royal Air Maroc Cancels Flights

The air bridge set up by Royal Air Maroc for the benefit of supporters has not been accepted by the Qatari authorities. Seven flights to Doha were cancelled on Tuesday evening to the great dismay of the supporters.
According to the airline, the Qatari authorities have required that Moroccan supporters each have a valid ticket for the match between Morocco and France before landing at Doha airport, reports SNRTnews.
They must also have the "Haya" approval. This is what justifies the decision of the company. Even the aircraft that had taken off received the order to return to Morocco, said a source within Royal Air Maroc.
Many supporters were surprised to learn the news as they had come to Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, thinking they were boarding for Qatar. According to the same source, the air traffic authorities in Qatar threatened the national company to "impose a heavy fine if, upon their arrival in Doha, the passengers did not each have a valid ticket for the match".
