Qatar Blocks Royal Air Maroc Flights, Stranding World Cup Fans Ahead of Morocco-France Match

Due to "restrictions imposed by the Qatari authorities", the airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has canceled all its scheduled flights to Qatar on Wednesday.
In a message posted on Twitter, RAM informs its customers of the cancellation of its scheduled flights to Qatar on Wednesday as part of the World Cup. A total of seven flights were specially chartered for the national team’s supporters for the match against France.
"Due to the restrictions imposed by the Qatari authorities, Royal Air Maroc regrets to inform its customers that its partner Qatar Airways has proceeded to cancel the flights operated on 14/12/22 from Casablanca to Doha as part of their code-share partnership," the statement reads.
In this context, RAM has committed to assisting its customers by refunding the airline tickets of the passengers affected by these cancellations as soon as possible. The National Company therefore invites the customers concerned not to show up at the airport.
