PSV Eindhoven Star Mohamed Ihattaren’s Father Dies After Long Illness
The Moroccan-Dutch international Mohamed Ihattaren has lost his father. The latter died from a serious illness he had been fighting for several months.
Mohamed Ihattaren is in mourning. He just lost a loved one. His father, Mustapha Ihattaren, passed away this Sunday from a long illness. The sad news was made public on the Twitter account of the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven.
The young player had spoken about his father’s illness a few days ago in a long interview with a Dutch media. He said he was not at all thinking about his sports nationality but wanted to spend more time with his seriously ill father.
The subject of a fierce struggle between the Moroccan and Dutch federations for his international career, the PSV Eindhoven midfielder had opposed a refusal to both federations. This file will certainly be relaunched after the funeral.
The funeral prayer will take place this afternoon at the Sayidina Ibrahim Mosque in Utrecht, the player’s hometown. A minute of silence was also organized today during the match between PSV and VVV Venlo.
