PSG Teammates Snub Mbappé in Captain Vote, Only Hakimi Shows Support

Kylian Mbappé received only one vote to wear the captain’s armband. His PSG teammates, with the exception of his friend Achraf Hakimi, did not vote for him.
According to RMC Sport, Kylian Mbappé did not receive the support of his teammates to be the PSG captain for the season. The majority of them voted for Marquinhos, who came first, and Danilo Pereira and Presnel Kimpembe, respectively second and third. Mbappé, fourth, received only one vote, that of his teammate and friend Achraf Hakimi, we are informed.
Excluded from the group at the end of July, Kylian Mbappé returned to the team at the request of coach Luis Enrique who has him in his plans. The 24-year-old striker made his return with a goal against Toulouse in the second round of Ligue 1. The French international came on in the 51st minute, replacing South Korean Lee-Kang, and opened the scoring in the 62nd minute by converting a penalty.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw after the penalty converted by Moroccan Zakaria Aboukhlal in the 86th minute on a foul by Achraf Hakimi. "I’m obviously delighted, not only with what he brings to the game, but also in terms of personality," Luis Enrique said of Mbappé, who could be transferred by September 1, the transfer market closing date. His contract with PSG expires on June 30, 2024.
