PSG’s Hakimi Refutes Mbappé Exit Rumors, Says Star ’Happy’ at Club
Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi denied the rumors that his friend and teammate Kylian Mbappé was unhappy at PSG. He assured that the latter remains attached to the club.
In a statement to RMC Sport, just after the PSG-Benfica match (1-1), the Parisian right-back returned to the rumors of a possible departure of Mbappé next winter. Hakimi defended the French striker, trying to end the controversy.
"We always talk about this kind of thing. I saw Kylian focused on the game and the club. We didn’t talk about that. It’s you who take things out of context. He is focused on the club, he is happy here. I see him happy, and I think that’s the most important thing," he said.
To recall, the Spanish newspaper Marca had claimed earlier this week that the French striker has decided to pack his bags next transfer window, tired of the unfulfilled promises of his leaders and his repositioning on the pitch. The information was taken up by several media, including French.
