PSG Star Hakimi Breaks Silence: "Truth Will Prevail" in Rape Accusation Battle

Achraf Hakimi has spoken out about the alleged rape case he is accused of. The Moroccan right-back of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) continues to deny the facts that occurred in February 2023.
"I am calm. But to be falsely accused is horrible and unfair. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. It’s not good. But I know the truth will come out," Hakimi said in an exclusive interview with Bertrand Latour on Canal+. And he added: "After that, I don’t reproach myself anything, the people who know me know how I am. I focus on the important things in my life: my family and football. And I know the truth will come out."
The lawyer for the Atlas Lion also shows the same serenity. "We remain, with Achraf Hakimi, as serene as at the opening of the proceedings. These requisitions are incomprehensible and senseless in view of the elements of the file," she told the Le360 website.
Hakimi is accused by a young woman of having raped her at his home in Boulogne-Billancourt in February 2023. Indicted for alleged rape, the Moroccan international had rejected these accusations in March of the same year, claiming that the relationship was consensual and that he was the victim of an attempted blackmail. The Parisian defender faces up to fifteen years in prison.
